PROJECT GOAL:
Located in Vilnius, Lithuania, Life Church currently rents 1,300 square feet of usable space (less than the average small home in the US), where it holds more than 10 weekly meetings. Our goal is to help the church raise $750,000 to purchase and renovate a 6,000 square foot building.
Project 302
Project Story
In 2004, Tony and Shasta Miller began to feel God was calling them to start a new work in Lithuania. On May 25, 2005, with God’s direction, the Miller family arrived in Vilnius, Lithuania and began building relationships to prepare for a permanent church plant. Life Church launched in November of 2005.
They have since established weekly Sunday services, as well as men’s, women’s, and youth ministries. They have also established the United Voices gospel choir, and performed many concerts. Life Church also houses a homeless ministry, Bible studies, prayer meetings, home groups, baptisms, and more. This kind of outreach is unheard of in this rather secular country with people who are very skeptical towards the Church.
With only a few attendees for the first several years, Life Church has now grown its community to welcome 90+ members and continues to actively reach the Vilnius community. Since the start, many wonderful people have become a part of this body of believers. The Millers continue to trust God for continued growth as a church for sharing the Gospel throughout Lithuania. The best is yet to come!
